What ToExpect On Your First Visit

  Welcome/Consultation

When you first arrive to Kenley Chiropractic, Dr. Blotner will welcome you to the Kenley Chiropractic family.  If you completed the necessary paperwork from the website and brought it with you, you will be directed to the exam/adjusting room for your consultation.  Dr. Blotner will find out more about your health related problems and concerns as well as discuss potential treatment options.  This is the time for Dr. Blotner to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.


Examination

After the consultation is completed, Dr. Blotner will perform a complete chiropractic examination.  This will consist of standard orthopedic and neurologcal testing, reflex and postural testing as well as range of motion testing. However, nothing will be conducted without your consent.


Report of Findings

Once the examination is completed and the information is collected, Dr. Blotner will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:

1.  Can you help me?

2.  How often do I need to get adjusted?

3.  What will the treatment cost?

After reviewing your health history, goals and findings, Dr. Blotner will discuss recommendations and notify you if your care requires other types of providers.  Dr. Blotner will provide the best treatment and wellness program for each individuals needs.


First Treatment

At the conclusion of your initial  appointment, you may choose to experience your first adjustment.  This will consist of a manual adjustment to you spine, hip, pelvis, shoulder, etc. You may also choose to experience trigge point therapy, if that will benefit you situation more than an adjustment.


Don't Forget Your Instructions

Upon  completion of your spinal adjustment or trigger point therapy, Dr. Blotner will give you instrructions before you leave which will consist of eithe stretching, at home therapy or some strengthening exercises.  You will also  be asked to schedule you follow up appointment to detemine what type of care plan you will be assigned on your second visit.
